Surgeon Social started with a simple frustration. Every "healthcare marketing agency" lumped physicians and surgeons in with dentists, physical therapists, and veterinarians. The pitch decks all looked the same. The strategies all sounded the same. None of them understood what actually moves a private practice referring physicians, conference visibility, peer reputation, and trust earned over years.
One co-founder is a 20-year MedTech sales leader who has spent his career inside hospital systems and operating rooms. He has watched, up close, which physicians built referral networks and which didn't, and what visibility actually does for a practice.
The other co-founder is a practicing physician and key opinion leader. He built his own referral network and KOL presence from scratch, and was tired of watching colleagues hand their reputations to agencies that couldn't pronounce half the procedures on their service line.
